The Names of God

There are many Names of God in the Bible

An interesting one is the title of the next song …

“Jehovah Maqor”, Our Fountain

♫ “O Thou Fount of Every Blessing” ♫

On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness ~ Zechariah 13:1

Of all the names, perhaps the most personal is Emmanuel … what does it mean?

Christ Jesus … made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross ~ Philippians 2:5-8

♫ “Glorify Thy Name” ♫

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? ~ Psalms 27:1

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." ~ John 8:12

“Jehovah Azar” – Our Help

Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper! ~ Psalms 30:10

The snare is broken, and we have escaped! Our help is in the name of the LORD ~ Psalms 124:7,8

And there is salvation in no one else except Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. ~ Acts 4:12
